‘Far from home’ shows the life of Yuna, an eleven year old girl who has been in the hospital for 6 months under strict supervision. She is being treated for her obesity. So far in the program, she has lost 30 kilograms from her original 90. In Japan, obesity is a growing problem, mostly because of the influence of fast-food and other western lifestyles. It is an extremely traditional clean and polite country, where being overweight is very frowned upon.
